Vamshi Made Rs 75,000 Writing Short News – You?

Vamshi Kukkidi from Telangana’s Warangal District has earned Rs 75,000 plus writing short news on India’s No.1 Hyper-local Short News App, Way2News. The excited youngie, currently pursuing B.Tech was on the hunt to earn during his summer vacation. Is he an existing user on Way2News? No. He is not. While he was on the search for making money online, Vamshi found a video on YouTube which highlighted how one can earn money through Way2News.

After watching the video, Vamshi immediately installed the app and signed up as a Reporter/User. He started contributing Short News stories in Telugu, which eventually helped him earn more than Rs 76,000. The happy soul came running to our office testifying how ‘Citizen Journalism’ helped him grow over the last few months. Speaking to the team, Vamshi said that his stories were initially rejected.

The first five to six stories I contributed were rejected. I had no clue. I don’t know what was going on. I got a call from the team. They told me that the stories were rejected as it violated the guidelines. Despite that, the team patiently kept pushing me on a daily basis to contribute more stories. I have to appreciate them. They called me up daily, they helped me with the writing guidelines and told me what exactly has to be conveyed in a news story.

I wrote stories that highlighted the challenges people go through on a daily basis. There is a lot to be done in the society. My stories focused much on these lines. I am very happy that the news stories I contributed reached top officials and impacted the lives of people. Authorities responded to the problems I raised on this App. Now, I have ten friends of mine in different districts who are registered with Way2News. They too are making good money. My journey from starting as a Reporter to becoming a Senior Reporter is memorable. I would contribute more in the days ahead, adds Vamshi.

Apart from Vamshi, thousands of users who registered themselves as reporters made between Rs 20,000 to Rs 60,000 across India. We are currently providing news in eight languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada and Bangla.
